Subject: Notes/Domino - Tracking user login/logoffs?
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Windows 2003 server
Release: 8.5
Reproducible: Always
Hi,
I hope I am in the right forum and have entered the correct information to ask a question.
I am a Domino Admin that needs to track a user's Notes client login to the Domino Server.
Meaning, we want to track activity of a user.
I have heard of setting up IP address logging in teh console log after adding a variable in the Notes.ini on the Domino Server and that should timestamp users activity for when they use their Notes client.
But, are there other ways of knowing when a user accesses their Mail DB file on the server?
I have been looking at the console.log and see these entries:
> 09/25/2009 07:10:35 AM Opened session for User/IBM/DOMINO/DOMAIN (Release 8.5)
> 09/25/2009 07:12:06 AM Closed session for User/IBM/DOMINO/DOMAIN Databases accessed: 1 Documents read: 0 Documents written: 0
Is this the server or the client accessing/reading/writing to the user's mail file?
Any other thoughts?
Thanks so much for any feedback.
